Limit customer to creating a single custom record
I am looking for a practical way to create a custom record associated with a Customer, but also limit that customer to only having a single record of that type.
The idea is to include a set of Custom Fields in the "Main" subtab of the Customer Record, this allows us to have the customer prompted to fill them in during "Online registration"; then we intend to replicate the data to a Custom Record so that it is accessible for editing inside the Customer Center. The 2 processes seem to be mutually exclusive; custom fields are accessible at registration, but not inside the profile; custom records are available inside the customer center, but not at registration.
