Javascript To Add Record

I'm looking to setup the javascript to add custom records to a sublist that's already setup.  

 function add_server(){     var record = nlapiCreateRecord();     record.setFieldValue('custrecord52', false);     record.setFieldValue('companyname', 'Company Name');   }


I will add more later but in the testing phases as I'm not quite familiar how it all works together.

In the long run I would like to add details about a server, and add that server to the sublist of servers attached to a client record.
