Managing List Views (which are not in the list of available list views)

Hello,

I have my users landing on /caselist.nl
We have only 2 "List Views" for our cases.
However when my users go to toggle the "View" they are seeing other available list views (they come out of the box?) such as "All,Detail,Status,etc" I would like to be able to have just a couple of list views available but it seems like the only option is to either restrict the role to 1 list view OR have all the others appear? Is there a way to get rid of/modify the out of the box views?
My intention is to keep the list views available as easy to use as possible and hope to have only a few to explain at most.
