Search Newb: Some basic questions

I'm fumbling along with a saved search learning as I go, but there are a couple things I'm not getting:

1) How do I do OR filters?  For example: Item.Name = 'WidgetA' OR Item.Rental = 'T'

I came across something in the help that mentioned "AND OR operators" but now I can't find it.

2) Is it possible to do multi level joins?  For example, I have record relationships like so:

 <span style="font-family:'Courier New'">Customer  </span>    &amp;gt; CustomRecord_1 (1*)          &amp;gt; CustomRecord_2 (1)          &amp;gt; CustomRecord_3 (1)      &amp;gt; Sales Order          &amp;gt; CustomRecord_4 (1*)              &amp;gt; CustomRecord_5 (1*)          &amp;gt; Invoice              &amp;gt; CustomRecord_6 (1*)
