Unepected error from formula in search

I want a formula field on a search (Inventory Number).

The 2 fields I have are the standard quantity field {quantity} and a custom item field {custitemcaseno} that is of type Decimal Number.

I am using a Formula(Numeric) field and want to simply divide {quantity}/{custitemcaseno} but I get an unexpected error.

Can an sql expert out there help me out?
