Trouble with a formula field
I am trying to set up a search with formula fields that return a different date value depending on the record type. I am VERY new to this...
For example, I will have one field where if the 'type' is set to A, B, C, D, E or F, the field will calculate the record date - 30 days.
Then another field where if 'type' is set to G, H, I, J, K or L the field will calculate the record date - 70 days.
I can get this working when I use the text values of the types but I have too many options for this and therefore too many characters for the formula field. Besides which, I would prefer to use internal ID's for the List/Record values as it is a neater solution.
