Returning Index of contactroles - contact

I currently have a script that searches the contactroles sublist of a customer record by iterating through the entire list.  Sometimes there are hundreds of  contacts so the process can take a while.

Is there some way in my SuiteScript to fine the index if a specific contact if I already know the contact id without iterating throughout the entire list?
