Direct/Inline Line Editing the Memo field on Opportunity

Perhaps it's a lack of caffeine, but I can't seem to Inline edit the Memo field on Opportunities (but I can on transactions) in searches. This happens as Administrator, and I have the preferred form set to one that has the field as 'Normal'.

Can this field be direct line edited?
