Using Rank
Is it possible to use RANK() in order to evaluate the number of child records. I am using a custom record called container. The record is parent of Item Receipts.
I want to create a search that would have
Container | Item Receipt Doc | Rank Formula CON1 | IR01 | 1 CON1 | IR02 | 2 CON1 | IR03 | 3 CON2 | IR04 | 1 CON2 | IR05 | 2 CON2 | IR06 | 3
I have tried to use RANK() OVER (PARTITION by {internalid} ORDER BY {custbody_kcd_container.trandate} ASC )
Where custbody_kcd_container is the custom field that is making the container record the parent.
This works by ranking the date of all of the item receipts, but the counter does not reset per container record. I feel that is the partition by {internalid} part.
