Formula to Calculate Margin Percentage

Hey Everyone,

I'm trying to calculate the margin between an item rate from a transaction and the item's last purchase price for a saved search. I've been getting the dreaded "An error has occurred, click here to notify NetSuite Support" error each time I adjust the formula.

This is what I've currently tried: sum(100-({item.lastpurchaseprice}/{rate})). The field is Formula (Percentage) and the Summary Type is Sum, any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW, I noticed the Gross Profit option is not enabled in our account, do I need that enabled in order for this to work?
