Copy Search Results for Easy Paste into Spread Sheet Application or Email?

Hello out there,

Does any one know of a better way to copy and paste saved search results into another a different application (e.g. openOffice Calc, Google sheets, excel, or an email)?  Our users typically use Google Chrome browser. 

Let me explain ..

Sure, it is possible to select saved search results on the screen, and use ctrl+c then ctrl+v to copy and paste them into another app.  In practice, this method has shortcomings like:
-the "View | Edit" links need to be removed
-sometimes the Header and Results columns do not align properly, possibly because of records with some blank or null fields.
