Discounting commissions
We have various scenarios where we want to discount a commission. For example we have changed some reps to a new schedule that pays a large flat rate on orders rather than on collection. We would like to "buy out" their existing orders but we will continue to collect on some orders for up to two years.
A more detailed example: A rep turns in an order for 100, we have collected 20 so far and paid 10 in commission. The new schedule pays a flat rate of 40. We would want to pay the rep 30 (flat rate (40) - already paid (10)) and then discount or cancel any future commissions on this order that are earned from future collection.
