How Does Lot Expiration Date Factor Into Qty Available?

edited Nov 26, 2019 8:41AM in Accounting / ERP 2 comments

How does NetSuite account for the Lot Expiration date in calculating Quantity Available, and in the autogen of Items to Order via Bulk Ordering?

My concern is that if an Item has expired, then it can not be sold or used in Assembly Builds. Therefore the Lot that has expired should be removed from Quantity Available, and the autocalc of when to reorder should also be adjusted.

Also, reports like Current Inventory Status should be adjusted to show the correct Quantity Available, and the correct Qty "To Order" -- which means the removing the quantity of the remaining Lot that has expired.

Howdy, Stranger!
