Fixing wrong average cost

We have just found several items in Netsuite that have the wrong purchase price.  The  Purchase Price is equal to baseprice which givea a much higher inventory valuation than should be.  We are talking several thousand items with each item having multiple item receipts.

Other than editing every item receipt, is there an easier way to fix average price?
