PayPal down today

All of our PayPal services are down today.  It has been down for 3 or 4 hours and it is killing us.  We can't capture any funds from orders that came in prior to the outage and customers can no longer order through our webstore.  Is anyone else experiencing these issue?

I wish I had kept our back-up credit card processing service.  After today, I'm about ready to bail in PayPal!

I've called PayPal and they can't tell me anything other than "we are aware of the issues and are working to resolve them".  Apparently they don't have back-up or any kind of redundancy and they also don't have a web page that shows status and ETA for fixes on current issues!
