Cancel PayPal Express Checkout authorization

Would anyone know how to cancel a PayPal Express Checkout authorization?

I cannot find a method in the PayPal.com interface to cancel a PayPal Express Checkout.

When I speak with PayPal support, they tell me only the shopping cart can cancel the PayPal Express Checkout.

When I cancel the related order, the PayPal Express Checkout authorization does not get cancelled.
