FTP Access

I wonder if there is some way to access to a FTP Server using some API method. I have looked carefully at the NetSuite Developers' Documentation but I didn´t find it. What I want to do is to obtain filenames from a directory given, read the content of each of these files and be able to move them from one directory to another.
