RESTlet Integration and up-coming 2FA enforcement

edited Dec 2, 2019 2:58PM in SuiteCloud / Customization 1 comment

Greetings.

We use the NLAuth authentication method for performing push/pull operations from our system through our custom API.
I'm using a sandbox account, in which 2FA seems to have been enforced since February the 20th.
I used to use a certain role for these operations and this became problematic since then when I started getting a "Two-Factor Authentication required" error.
The odd thing was that on my Role's setup page, the combobox of the 2FA parameter is set to "Not required". But later I discovered that a special permission on "Setup => Integration Application" was set to full unnecessarily causing to override the 2FA exemption. Upon removing this, all returned to normal.

Howdy, Stranger!
