Combine case statements in Saved Search Formula

I have tried various combinations but haven't been able to combine these two formulas into a single one. I would appreciate any help I can get. Both statements work independently.

Case When{type} = 'Journal' And {accounttype} = 'Income' And NVL ({memomain},'x') <> 'x' Then {amount}  Else Null End

Case When {postingperiod} = 'Mar 2019' Then {amount}*{contribution}  Else Null END
