Convert 'for Purchase' Item to 'for Resale'?

edited Nov 28, 2019 3:48PM in Accounting / ERP 4 comments

Can I convert an Other Charge for Purchase item into an Other Charge for Resale item so that I can use it on Sales Orders?

Or will I have to rename this, make it inactive, and then create a new one of the correct type?

Also, what is the difference between 'Non-Inventory' and 'Other Charge'? Do they both have to be fulfilled on a Sales Order?

What would you typically use for Carriage charges? In particular when the Vendor charges us Carriage, and we want to charge this to the customer?

Our current Carriage is an Other Charge for Purchase, so can only be used on POs. This means the staff are using one of the Special Order item codes to put the carriage charge on the Sales Order, and then this has to be fulfilled.

Howdy, Stranger!
