Vendor Center - Show On Hand Quantity of Select Items to a Specific Vendor

How do I go about making inventory information for specific items available to specific vendors?  I created a saved search that returns what I want to show the vendor, but my attempts to make it available for selection in the Vendor Center are unsuccessful.  And if it did work, I suspect the information would be presented to all vendors and not just the intended one.  I have also tried creating 2 different Custom Roles; one using the Shipping Center and the other using a Custom Center I created.  Although, I can select the Saved Search from within the Shipping Center
