Is there a way to remove inactive department on financial reports, so that only active departments a

we have hundreds of department that are already inactive, but unable to delete them since they are being referenced by other records.

When running financial report, with department as filter, the department dropdown has quite a long list of department (including inactive).

Is there a way to filter out the department drop down so that only the active departments are available for selection?
