Dear Gurus!

I hope you might be able to point me in the right direction.

Is there existing functionality to set an attribute on an item record so that a sales rep cannot discount that item when creating a transaction?

I'm thinking I will might to create a custom checkbox on the item record and then use a workflow on the transaction to check for that attribute and decide if a discount is allowed by that user.

I did not find anything in SuiteAnswers but it seems like this would be a common requirement so I just want to check if there is out-of-the-box functionality before i go down this path
