How do we notify users when a new communication comes in to NetSuite PO?

Our buyers are emailing purchase orders out from NetSuite.  Some suppliers are replying to that message and then it shows up under communications which is great.  The issue is the user does not knwo it's there unless they go looking for it.  Is there a way to notify the user that they have a new message under communications?
