drop ship sales orders: how to turn OFF making the drop-ship POs automatically

Ok, we want to STOP using the order approval process due to a glaring shortcoming in the approval process.  It doesn't' commit inventory if you use approvals. So, you can come in Monday and have 100 backorders because it didn't stop taking orders when you run out of inventory.  There is no way to set NetSuite to commit inventory that is in an unapproved order.

So, we turned order approvals off. Orders now come in as "pending fulfillment".

The problem, we don't want our drop-ship orders having their POs automatically generated.  How can we turn that feature OFF?
