adding customer number on statement

Hi Gurus;

I wanted to add customer no in the statement form for a long time. added this line <br /><b>Cust No.: </b> ${record.entity.entityid} on statement advanced pdf. template. it only shows Cust No.:  , but can not pull the number from entity record and show it in the statement.
