workflow to set field value on deposit sublist

Hello Gurus

I need to set the value of the department when a deposit is made that includes fees.

I created a saved search with criteria:

type=deposit

department is -unassigned

account is credit card service fee

then I set a scheduled workflow to 'set field value' of the department field

The workflow sets value of Department (main) rather than at the line level. How can I set the line level value instead?

Any advice is greatly appreciated
