Is there a way to add spaces between report columns in the Financial Report Builder?

For example when  I run a budget vs actual for all departments there is no space between one department and the next, to make the report easier to read I have to manually insert columns once exported to excel.

I am wondering if there is a way to do this in the Financial Report Builder so I don't have to manually do it each time.

The same case also applies to when I am running profit and loss statements that is separated out by subsidiary, there is no space between where one ends and the next one begins.
