Foreign currency in fixed asset accounts.

We have entries in multiple currencies in our general ledger fixed and intangible assets accounts.  Since the fixed asset module is in local currency it does not change.  To fix this I was looking at too options.  First I could make one large JE to remove the USD in bulk (offset being fx gain loss) and then another large JE to put the CAD in at the value that it is the fixed asset module with the offset being fx gain loss.  The other option is to do basically the same but to input the CAD using the end of
