How to control GL posting status in Write Check approval workflow?

Hi

A requirement is to have a Write Check approval route where the record will not be posted to GL (Post = No) until it has been approved by an approver. So I created a basic approval workflow similar to the Journal Entry Approval Workflow, and applied to Check transaction. Through the workflow, I expect the Write Check posting to be 'No' when the record is created, and changed to 'Yes' once the the record has been approved. However, the posting is always 'Yes' from time of creation to the end of the workflow. How can I control the GL posting
