Add Custom Field to Lot/Serialized Window

Good morning!  Is it possible to add additional fields to the INVENTORY DETAIL pop-up for Lot/Serialized Items?  I'm wanting to add a field to capture the weight of the item along with it's Lot/Serial#.  The issue is because I need to procure/sell in CASES, but receive and fulfill in CASES and POUNDS.  Was hoping a custom field could be added to capture the weight and then use that field to compute amount due to vendor or from customer.  Thanks in advance!
