Time-Off Changes

Has anyone else noticed that when someone on staff approves time, their subordinate's time-off does not reflect on the supervisor calendar? for that matter, the time-off is no longer appearing on the subordinate's calendar.

Is this change by design? I know it's a change because my Sandbox still works "properly" (aka preferred)... any idea how to get this back??
