Finding plus sign in a text - script

Hi,


I'm trying the following, code, but it returns an error (SyntaxError: Invalid regular expression: /+/: Nothing to repeat) since the plus sign is a special character, Please advice with the correct code


if(Tags[i].search('+') != -1)


I've tried to add slash (\) before the plus sign, but it is not working too
