How to Modify a Packing Slip?

We often ship one order from two locations. Is there a way to modify the packing list so that I can simply list out the items we are shipping in that particular box? Some times we have to split kit items into individual items. I need to be able to reflect this on the packing list but I see no way to change a packing slip from a sales order. Any ideas?
