How to set the default Costing Method for Lot N. Inventory/Assembly Items to Lot Numbered/Specific?
It doesn't look like you can default costing method to either Specific (for Assembly items) or Lot Numbered (for Lot numbered inventory items). I am trying to create a workflow to set those fields when the item form is opened because it doesn't appear to be working. There is no way our people will remember to change this. It is a shame that the system doesn't let you set a default for those and then locks that choice for any changes!
I have the workflow set to record type Item, sub type lot numbered inventory item, and trigger type all. I have the state set to trigger on entry and set the field costing method to static value "Lot Numbered".
