How to Expose Standard Fields in Global Search

Hello Everyone,

I have a standard field on Customer Account{accountnumber}, I want that to be visible in global search, What's the way to make a standard field available for global search ? I

The global search also don't work with store values unchecked so I can do it via a WF/script but is there any other way.
