Can I create a workflow to set Credit Memo Status to Pending Approval?

Hi Gurus!

I have a situation where I would like to create a workflow that would prevent automatic posting of a credit memo to the GL.

I want it to go through an approval.

I believe currently NS does not have a WF option for credit memos.

Is there a workaround to this?

As a general question and a pointer, is it possible to lock any record as soon as it is created so it does not post to GL, and then upon a certain trigger, open it and make available for GL posting?
