Line breaks or carriage returns removed in list view?

edited Jun 2, 2025 2:52PM in Search / Reporting 9 comments

Users are telling me that there's been a change to how Long Text field data renders when viewing those fields in List View (editable Saved Search).

When the user clicks into the column that contains the long text data, NetSuite removes all line breaks and renders all the data in a single line; ignoring the existing carriage returns that were visible before clicking into the field.

Does anyone know if this is a recent change? I thought it always did that but- they're telling me it used to retain those line breaks so they could actually read the data even after clicking into the column in List View.

Howdy, Stranger!
