  • That may work for you but wouldnt work for us, for example. We prefix all our invoices by the letters INV. This is so that when we do a global search on INV112 for example..it pulls only the invoice.. as opposed to anything with a 112 in it.. like a PO. If they change this - needs to be an option though. Sorry to change…
  • Our time records do not need to be approved before they are created, whether billable or not. It seems to me that you should be able to turn on a feature that sends an email when a case is closed with billable time in it, regardless of the billable time approval settings. Steve
  • Steve, There are no specific issues currently in NetSuite Engineering that match the symptoms you are reporting. Have you reproduced the problem in both Internet Explorer 6 and FireFox 1.5? It is very possible that it is specific to your workstation but without more data there is no way to know. The preferred way to…
  • If you are seeing errors or notices such as "Items you have requested in the record have been deleted since you retrieved the form" that is almost certainly not performance related. It will not be fixed by any effort currently underway by the Performance or Operations Teams at NetSuite. I suspect that issue is tracked…
  • Hi Ken. Again, NS support sent me an email yesterday stating "At this time, the feature you are requesting is not available within the NetSuite line of application services. We do have an Enhancement Request logged for this feature request..." This was after I answered several additional questions that NS posed with regard…
  • The problem is with the incoming email message from our customer. When our customer sends us an email, it automatically creates a new case in NS, and the customer's email is very hard to read because of the additional code in the inbound message, as I described in my previous post. It appears to be mixed in with HTML code,…
  • Hi Ken, it only seems to be coming from a few of our customers. Steve
  • This message is presented, and expected, when you create a new browser instance (from the Desktop or Start menu) and log in while using the same email/credentials currently logged in from another browser instance. When you return to the original browser window where you logged in, this message will be displayed upon your…
  • Has anyone found a fix for this? I can't delete files in our file cabinet. When I try to delete them, it says "This record cannot be deleted, because it is referred to by other records." It doesn't tell me what other records are referring to it. I called NS, and they don't know how to find out. NS suggested my problem as…
  • Hi Evan, the case number is 673461. Thanks, Steve
  • Hi Evan, I appreciate your response and I appreciate that NS strives for maximum uptime. I think this downtime incident caused such a stir because it occurred at a peak time - beginning of the business day across several timezones in the US. I do have a problem with NS taking steps to address this type of outage this late…
  • This may seem silly but it might work - try opening a dos window (start, run, type 'cmd' without quotes) and set a constant ping with 'ping -t system.netsuite.com' - and let this run in the background while you work with NS. The times should at first be all over the place but as the routers on the trip there and back learn…
  • I found the problem, I had "auto fill transactions" checked in my preferences. If you check this box, information on transaction pages is automatically filled in based on the last transaction for the entity you have chosen. Steve
