Steve, This script will only work with NEW contacts if the contact has already been entered and the flag has been set to Unsubscribe (ticked) you cannot use this script. NS takes ALL user editing (script, direct or import) ability away from this field as soon as the contact is flagged as Unsubscribed. Gordon

Greg I think the smbXML issue is that only works on the US version. The simple script solution only prevents you adding contacts unsubscribed by mistake. Do you want to give me a contact email and I will send it over. Gordon

Thanks Ray, I'll ask someone tomorrow why the UK does not allow the import way unless someone picks this thread up. Thanks again Gordon
-
Ray, Do you mean the import to update the subscibe works in th US but not the UK. Or can US update the subscribe status just by editing the contact record? Thanks Gordon
-
Stephan, Are you on the US version as I thought you could update the flag using smbXML, if not, which is what you are suggesting then no I do not think there is anyother way than manually. There is one thing you could try, set up a dummy client and send that client a marketing email this will have an unsubscribe link at…

James, As a follow up, and I really am not 100% about this one. You could set up an email template on the template record is a tick box allowing you to put the unsubscribe message (as well as your address) at the bottom of the email. You could then Bulk email this out to your contacts. What I am not sure is that if the…

James, I was in the same boat but had only imported a few as a test before this became apparent. NS are just being overly cautious about the spamming laws as they would possibly be the ones who got sued if someone was spamming. Apparently US and Canada laws are not so tough so you can bulk update them via an import in…

Jon, Trust and Legality are only separated by a thin line in this case. I guess their stance is that the interprate the law that they will be 'fined' should one of their clients use the system to Spam and in the UK, and we really should be using the Opt In Rule rahter than the Opt Out (although this again is kinda of mucky…

Perhaps I should explain a little more. When you book time there is a memo field which we normally put in what we have done for the client. When the Time is billed there is a description field which is empty which we have to refill with what was in the memo so that it appears on the Invoice. What we want to do is either…

Its those little switches that make all the difference :) thanks Evan.

Brenda, Should be fairly easy to do with some Custom Code which is triggered on the Changed Field Function under the Custom Code section in the Cusomise form Gordon
-
Evan, Thanks but I sorted it I couldn't see the wood for the trees. Gordon
-
Sorted.......
-
Ray, Thanks, when you say by XML I understand the concept of XML but cannot see where the actual import is done within Netsuite Gordon
-
Ray, Many thanks Gordon
-
Jan, I don't use this part of the system but can you not just go into Lists > Accounting > Quantity Pricing Schedule Gordon
-
Malin, Its in the v11 Sneak Peak Summary, I also see that it mentions VOlume pricing in the NS Matrix V11 spreadsheet (I assume volume equates to quantity) Gordon
-
I see what you mean it shows in the summary but I have a feeling that its not availble for Small Business Version, is that what you are running?
