We have had this experience as well. Customer get frustrated because they are sure the issue is at our end - not theirs. The only solution we've found is to cc ourselves to ensure the email goes through and to have the invidual add our email addresses to their whitelist. Doesn't always work and usually requires send,…

We're using the latest Outlook integration on 2 computers with Outlook 2007 and 1 computer running Outlook 2003 and have not had any problems since the newest Netsuite version. For those running into problems, you might try the Detect and Repair in Outlook (go to Help / in 2003 I believe it is on the About Outlook and then…

Vista integration Does anyone know of a solution here? I did not see any postings from a NS employee for an answer. I am a new user as of this week and am excited to get going but was very disappointed to not be able to link with Outlook. Thanks for your help! The only solution that we know of is while you are in…

if you have outlook 2003, install the outlook intergration. When you upgrade to 2007 the functionality will carry over. We use it on 6 computers that we have upgraded We had it installed on the computer with Outlook 2003 and then when our new server was installed, it somehow broke the integration. I did a repair, an…

See my latest post on how we fixed this.

We'd like to participate in the 'user experience' group if there are invitations to do so :)

I find that different user's learning styles affect their ability to function well with the calendar. One of our core marketing people can't get 'into' Netsuite because the calendar is a real issue for him. He is used to Palm Pilot and Outlook is the next best thing. He's a color-code type person and likes to block times…

I believe the boxes on the left allow you to specify the exact time ie 7:03 and the boxes on the right allow you to select times based on the increments set in your preferences (ie every 15 minute segments).

I found it under the Search/Item - had to click on Advanced Search to allow me to see the Component Item field.
-
Thanks Evan. I guess I didn't look very far! I tried this and although one of my components is sold as a component and sold as an assembly and also assembled as a sub-assembly of 4 other higher assemblies, I'm only getting the component showing up. I clicked on: Name contains: 00-1020503-00-10 Type Any of: Assembly/Bill of…

Oops - I just realized I need to go to List/Items/Edit - Members and I can adjust the sub-assemblies. 1. Does anyone know if this affects anything in the past or just from the date I adjust the members to the sub-assemblies and assemblies? 2. Is there a way to view a list of all sub-assemblies and assemblies a particular…

I too would like to see something like this. I've attempted to use opportunities and forecasting by creating estimates but neither one fits the bill. Our marketplace is financial services and the prospects and/or customers don't really think in this fashion. They are insulted by receiving an estimate and our sales cycle…

Are there any tips you can give a newbie to this type of thing for a simple process or is this something that requires customization through additional purchase? By simple process I'm thinking along the lines of agreeing to the claim of copyright and trademark.

Thank you. I'll try it and call for help if I run into any problems. Appreciate your help.

I think I know where you are both going but want to clarify something first. To be clear - You referenced 'items' - does this mean you are talking about 'inventory items' OR data in one field updating data in a second field - a matrix of sorts?

We use the parent/child relationship for credit card accounts where we have a master Visa account but 3 partners. The child relationship is set up so that each of the partners' cards reflect the charges to that person's card but the total of all charges is rolled up to the Master Visa (parent).

Brenda, Please file a case for this and we'll take a look as soon as possible. Thanks, Steve.... This was assigned as Issue 130282:Chart of accounts converted to base currency - Case Number 612523 filed August 27, 2007. I called since then and was told they are working on it but have heard nor seen any change on the case…

What happened to our Chart of Accounts is a glitch/bug in the system. We have used Multicurrency since starting with NetSuite in 2003/2004 and everything was fine. Now the system switched me over to US currency only when I used to have US currency accounts AND Canadian accounts. Now everything acts as if it is US currency…

I too have had the odd accidental email go out because I was assuming the email button would work the same as most other (all that I use anyway) email buttons in Netsuite. The usual option is to add a message, select a cc or alternate email contact on the entity and to reset or close the window. I believe this button is…

Essentially a re-implementation. You can delete all data from setup - BUT BE VERY VERY VERY CAREFUL AND ENSURE THATS WHAT YOU REALLY WANT !!!. It literally deletes everything. In a situation like this - Wouldn't it probably best to export each of the data you need to csv and then reimport piece by piece? (IE. export…
-
I recommend talking to your NS Rep about how this can be done. We were discussing changing our base currency from US to Canadian and there were a couple of ways to do this. One method meant exporting and reimporting data into a duplicate NS set up and another method was to start a new set up from scratch. You may find it…

Of potential interest - The "Amount-Foreign Currency" field is REALLY a "nominal" currency field. It simply shows the dollar that you typed in on your transaction, regardless whether this is CAD, US, EUR etc.... Thank you! Finally someone who understands what I've been saying all along. If you have transactions (for any…
-
I believe that only negative USD amounts should have the (), do you see multiple other instances that do not fit that description? Here's an example of the different transactions. Note: All Sales, Item Receipts and Purchase Orders are US $ transactions. I do not have any Cdn transactions to compare to these. Sales Orders…

Thank you Brad. This is what I have been telling Netsuite about the foreign currency column. Our sales rep connected me with a sales engineer who told me it was easy to do a financial report using both currencies in one report right from within Netsuite using the customization capabilities. Then came a quote for training…
-
Thank you for responding. I've been away on medical leave. I appreciate your response but I have to disagree with some of your comments. The reporing architecture does not currently support the rendering of multiple currency symbols on the same report. To avoid confusion, any amount that may have a different currency…

I looked into the Lists/Account/ and went to the various A/R accounts (we have both US and Cdn A/R) and noticed that one A/R account points to Balance Sheet and cash Flow but the other account shows no entries. Should I assume this is the source of the problem?
-
Thank you for this updated information. I was not aware the date had been moved. Appreciate it. I'll let you know if we have any further communications with NEBS re my past experience. Thank you.
-
FYI June is the DEADLINE for us to comply with Cdn cheque requirements. NEBS had stated in October that they won't take a cheque order if the software won't comply with the requirements. Seems to me that a June release is too late for many companies if they handle a lot of cheque payments.
-
Thank you both for your help. I think it is more of user error on set up than NS. I appreciate your advice.

If transactions were (or are) entered with 7% GST, it will stay that way. The tax % are not referenced on the transactions, they are actually part of the transaction (meaning that even if you change the tax item/code, the tax rates on exisiting transactions remain static). You should be fine. Asa note - If you are…
