I think forms can be linked to certain roles and/or users. Maybe you could have a customized role that invoices only that customer (or customers like them?). Kind of klunky, but that's all that comes to mind for me.

Not really interested in that. It seems to me that this is broken, just like to verify that and get it fixed. If it's not broken (ah, I haven't heard "by design" in a while), I'd just like to understand it a bit better.

I don't think that you need to use estimates or sales orders. I think you just populate the 'title' field on the opportunity, and I believe that will show up on most reports/forms that you are concerned about. Hope that helps.

Actually, I don't know that a kit will work. It seems that you have to assign a particular income account to a kit, correct? Evan, One of the items in the group is a kit. We sell a solution that has a kit item, plus a couple of non-inventory items and a service item. I would like to have an item group that has all of these things as members. Then I have a different service item that is typically on these transactions as well. What I want to do…

OK, so is it possible to use a client suite script to update the group description to include the description of all of the members of that group, say when the transaction is saved? Something like: for each group member - append member description to group description next group member Any pointers?

Evan, Thanks for the help. I think it's close, but not quite close enough. I'll keep playing with it and post if I figure something out. I basically need the majority of the group functionality (being able to manipulate members on the transaction and auto-amount roll-up), but hide the line amounts when printed ala kits. Jon

FYI, we added ourselves to this enhancement this morning and received a note from NetSuite that this has already been deployed into production. We are still on 11.0.4 and don't see it, so I assume it is in the newer version. Jon

Corey, I don't think that particular notification (lead assignment) can be customized. The support templates are strictly for support, not SFA. I want to say that there is an enhancement to be able to customize more of the notifications, but I'm not sure. It would be nice. Hope that helps, Jon
