Hey Thomas, You make a lot of sense. This is not something I want to do but seems mandatory now. The billing info is the same as shipping info in Netsuite (for Paypal) Maybe I made a change in my account that has created this problem? We have webmaster building a new site so I have been in the settings the past several…

No thats cool Tom, Its not mandatory that i have do it; when I get an order paid by paypal i try to approve it and Netsuite error pops up telling me I need a bill to address to complete. So after reading other posts here I think I must have turned a feature on making "bill to" mandatory?
-
I have been updated but I do not see any place or instruction on new paypal services?
-
yup, It is in your paypal account info, NOT paypal manager. Follow the profile link to selling preferences. I was set to default as accepting cc's with no ccv # and/or mismatched information - needed to change that!
-
Hey Steve, I thought I understood problem from post header but I might be wrong because whats discussed seems off. Matrix items - where I have a parent item and children - on customers invoice and on purchase orders (basically where ever item is displayed) shows up with parent item:then children The way I have removed…
-
ooops I did not read your conundrum close enough; you are adding an item to the po not creating a po from a sales order. But what confuses me is why one vendor would get po for item that they dont have. When we create items we add our preferred vendor and all other vendors to it at that time. I see, thats the problem- the…

I might not understand exactly what we are attempting here but what about: set up-----> accounting-----> accounting preferences; under order management tab drop shipment section limit vendors list on item click the help shows: Set this preference to filter the vendors available on sales orders and the Order Items page. If…

Same trouble here my problem: THE VERY FIRST PRODUCT I tried to add (1150 child products). Have called support, was escalated, now its not ? - my implementation manager, clueless - he tried to get it escalated too. Thats right, my implementation manager has NEVER worked on a matrix product - well, now he has. How we…

So..... does it run EST or PST ? Thanks

I added it on the 26th after reading this post and we are up and running. Go back and tell Google to check your site again; it will time out I noticed but eventually gets it. Started reporting data pretty fast - 12 hours maybe. I ran in to same hassle when I asked Google adwords to determine keywords from scanning our…

The only way I can see to change how the images would work is to host the images on a non-NetSuite server. You would use something like assets.SignsDirect.com/images/stop-sign-large.jpg no black marks for having content hosted on a different server/domain? that doesnt count as outbound links? my pdf's are starting to add…

wow, lots to learn. Bill your knowledge is amazing! Something I always thought really helped out my current site: main home page can have 20 items but if I choose more then 20 the products randomly rotate so, the homepage is different every time. Any reality to this?

HOLY TOLEDO TIM www.justoffbase.co.uk PR of 7! I want to hear more of what your thoughts are on this subject. I see G-Proxy built your site, VERY nice work - PR7 - wow Tim has many pages with many hyphens in url (-)? I also see many non-desriptive url's. I cant imagine hyphens in url being considered as spam. Its not the…

Hey Julian, You are absolutely right. I have been playing with wordpress and I am amazed that a free plugin creates the sitemap and every time you add a page/post to the site it re-creates the sitemap and contacts google, yahoo and ask to let them know. Very powerful. The bigger a company is the harder it is to add…

google site map is huge as well as google checkout even getting google items (froogle) working correct would be huge - by correct I mean click one button and export a file with no html coding ready to upload. In the past year that i have been working in netsuite system they have made great changes directly for ecommerce…

Has this been implemented? Importing categories and sub-categories would be a huge time saver

oklahomazeke, A solution would be Payflopro - they use same discount rate no matter what, no games with different fees. I am not a rep for PayPal, just a consumer. Their interface is not as professional as other merchants but I look past that because the discount rate. We get charged 2.29% no matter what even for American…
-
I might be mistaken but in the old days here in the USA - it was illegal to charge a fee to consumers using a credit card. The way companies got around that was offering "cash discounts" opposed to credit card fees Maybe the laws have changed or maybe that was a state law of MA not a federal one?

Set up auto sweep- click on profile link (not hovering but actually click it) you see 3 columns, under Financial Information you will see "auto sweep" link.

Hey Scott, Why you changing? I was with authorize.net for 5 years before switching to Netsuite & really prefer Paypal over them. Just a few reasons why: - They refund fees 100% on refunds opposed to paying a fee to charge customer and another fee to refund them (by fee I mean discount rate) -AMX rate is same as all the…
-
I use authorize net and am switching to pay flo pro. I get cheaper rates from authorize, 2.09% on Master Card/Visa IF the address AVS checks - Even though in the emails I get for every transaction usually report a match, they almost always claim they do not. With payflo I dont have to worry - always 2.2%. Authorize net…

okay thanks for clarifying that Angela, That makes much more sense and still has me baffled why Netsuite cant limit customers to products that they have purchased only? I cant let customer try to find their products for return on their own the way the system is now. what options do we have? how does everyone handle…
-
Oh my goodness, the feature is less usable then I had thought. I will have 100's of thousands of products (including the children) - to expect a customer to determine their exact product they purchased is ludicrous. The difference in our item name can be 1 letter or 1 # I am still testing, not live yet. It sounds from…
-
Hey Hasnaa, payflow pro is $59.00/month 10 cents/transaction. According to their site you also need your own merchant account to use that service https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_profile-comparison It sounds like you have a much better set up then they list online.

I was just at Costco and they offer 1.99% for internet purchases. That would replace eMes The pamphlet did not break down all the nity gritty but i have read on this forum that paypal & costco are a great match. what about cybersource? http://www.cybersource.com/products_and_services/small_business_edition/details/ package…

Hey Dave, Awesome thread! I have just started to look at these type of #'s and I am shocked at what I have seen with my online business. Here's our #'s for the first two months (combined) of 2009: Cart Abandonment 81.35% Checkout Abandonment 14.17% I am actually excited about these numbers. Let me explain that - lots of…

Its been a few weeks. Whats the verdict? I need to sign up with someone but not sure who. Live person bums me out because $50/month plan is scaled way down. For 2 seats thats $1200/year - not cheap. In reality I am not sure if i need or would use their extras but i just got off their live chat and was really cool asking me…
-
That is REALLY cool and Netsuite should inform us when they add a free value like that. Question though: do you think that will get you the 14.1% improvement HackerSafe claims? I dont think it will work as good because you only see it when you get to checkout not before. In my case I am looking for customers to feel safe…
-
I don't understand this myself - we have 150,000+items and probably 50,000 inactive ones. I have been very disturbed how bad searches are on our site but figured it was algorithm that Netsuite was working on. if you dont know the exact part# its tough to find what you want at our store. a simple "-" will throw the searches…

Yeah Tom, good enhancement I will vote for it but, we really just need to let customers choose what they want to get an estimate for instead of making them see ground. so after clicking estimate they should get a choice in the pop up window asking what to get estimate for. (next day air, 2nd day ,3 day, etc..)
