I had tweaked the color settings a little and the 'orange text on orange background' problem has been solved. However, the 'Register' and 'Log in' hyperlinks towards the top right corner are now invisible. How am I able to better control all these formatting ?

Do you have full NetSuite with site builder module? You can change alot of the settings by attachin a style sheet. Yes, we have the full Netsuite.
