Nope. I just scripted it instead. Was faster and easier to do. I prefer not to and like to use native features for stability and transparency but the project had a timeline and a script was the fastest/best path to close the ticket and provide the feature.

Thanks I understand that and have read over the documentation several times. The documentation is unclear if the response can be tailored by a specific date in the past. Judging by other users interactions on this particular and talking with them about it appears that the response for getPostingTransactionSummary is…

Hi @"Mikko De La Fuente-Oracle" Thanks for the reply. The goal with this is to get a response that is effectively this is the beginning balance of any given GL Account for this Month. I thought it might be a permissions issue but it isn’t. For example I’ve made sure the user/integration record accessing the account has…

You might try migrating to Merchant e-Solutions. Merchant worked with us to build a credit card payment reconciliation feature and provides solid competitive rates and a great tech support team. The issue for us is more on the Netsuite side for not supporting multipay/split pay natively in the sales order/cash sale record.…

What are you using the locations for other than inventory? Can you provide a brief example? We see people use locations for things other than inventory, store, warehouse, systemic transfer things all the time (like using it for channels that have ever expanding numbers) its a bad idea. You might look at using custom…

Yep, page load times are the biggest concern here. Chatting with your NS Account Manager and they can show/demonstrate/sell you some services that increase speed. But at a certain point may be necessary to move to a private server that you can control via NetSuite anyhow. It's an investment but provides other flexibility…

Hi Staci, We just took the red pill and purchased NS Demand planning. Part of the demo process we checked with our demo engineer and sales account guy and NS confirmed that kits and assemblies are factored into there demand plan. We are going to deploy it soon and run the first numbers so hopefully this investment will…
-
Just a follow up we went with NS Demand planning vs Just Enough.
-
Carlos, How did the testing go? I understand it doesn't factor in units that are part of kits. That is a serious flaw if that is the case.
-
We evaluated the NS module but to be honest, when you really start looking at it, it's a joke. It is missing a ton of basic functionality (i.e. you cannot run a report that shows your future inventory valuation based on your demand plan). I have heard good things about Just Enough. It's pricey has anyone had any experience…

I think this is the solution. But it is bothersome. Why would this be so locked. Everything else in NS is so elegantly flexible(compared to our old ERP) and customizable. Of note to the other poster you can change the UoM descriptors in the conversions but not the conversions themselves. For example you can change BOX to…
-
Mine are not locked for editing? I set mine up with "Box of 500" and "Box of 1000" I think what I meant to convey was that once you set a "conversion rate". To use your example you can change the word Box within the UoM sublist to Bag, but what you can't change is the "500". Once that is established it is locked. Leaves…

Yea, leave the Pieces like you have them, just add a new UoM entry to accommodate the new vendor. So, if you have a UoM called "Pieces" Pieces = 1 (base unit), 12 pack, 24 pack case, 1000 pc pallet. So a new vendor comes along and has a 1200 pc pallet and a 10 pack. Change your UoM to this. Pieces = 1 (base unit), 10 pack,…

Thank you all. I thought the action script was the way to go, just wanted to confirm I wasn't missing something. Seems like this should be native to workflows though. Trying to avoid action scripts to keep it more straightforward.

Here is what I have: Type: Multiple Select List/Record: Transaction on the Sourcing & Filtering Tab Source List: Transaction Source From: PO # Filter using: Type Compare Type: equal Value Is: Purchase Order I get the follow pop-up message: "For a multi-select, you must specifiy a source filter by field to use sourcing" The…

I found this about Dynamic Hyperlinks but it still doesn't work and I am stuck:( https://netsuite.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/10080/kw/hyperlink%20field
-
I figured it out... shouldn't have Source List: Transaction Source From: PO # without those it worked perfectly...thanks for your help Evan.
-
Hi Evan, Sure... 1. I created a custome Transaction Colum Field called 'Item Link' 2. I set the link to apply to Sale Item 3. I set the display type as Normal 4. I set the Default value to http://www.oursite.com?q={urlcomponent} 5. On the Sales Order Form I set the 'Item Link' field radio box to checked so the field…
-
Hmmm...that is interesting. Well this would be a great enhancement. I imagine this could be scripted though to dynamically enter. I mean, the data is in there and when you "enter" a line item it pulls up other information, I feel as though it should be able to pull up a link just like the google map feature pulls up Map…
-
Thanks for the suggestion. We are just discovering what "not supported" means. We were under the impression that we could map any field if we wanted. It was just that certain fields we wouldn't get any help from. I guess you learn something everyday. By debugging you mean running a Control-U on the page in a Firefox and…
-
Not sure. Our script still works. I would consider killing the script and moving to a workflow as the latter is easier to future proof. Let me know what you find out.
-
Yep we figured it out. A script worked well. The saved search idea is a good one too. I suppose we could throw that into a KPI to monitor live streams of changes. Kind of weird that NS allows modification of this field at all, it seems dangerous.
-
Interesting approach can you ellaborate on the subtab more? What is the purpose of the subtab? Also I noticed I can't move these fields out of the "Body" field in the transaction entry form. It would be much better to have them pop-up on the footer. Right now we can only see using this on the picking ticket. How else are…

How can this work with IE9?
-
Thank you....it works!
-
Is this still relevant, I know it is an old post. We are attempting to "combine" packing slips and invoices. To do this we understand the principle and are about 85% of the way there except we are coming up short with how to put the shipping, handling, tax and total amount for the shipment on the packing slip. We are…

Us too...anyone have the work for IE9?
