It seems that Person Number in W_HR_PERSON_D should be one number for each person who is in the system for any reason, and Employee Number in W_EMPLOYEE_D would be one number per person designated as an employee. However, each employee should have an Assignment Number (at least for us PeopleSoft users). When I list Person Number, Employee Number, and Assignment Number, I get people who have Person Number and Assignment Number but not an Employee Number ("Unspecified").
It is ambiguous enough that I cannot tell if our data are messed up, or I don't have the correct definition of these columns. Can anyone help?
