Unable to automatically create level based hierarchy?

Question

Bit of a silly question, but I inherited an RPD and noticed something funny.

I am tryint to "automatically" create hierarchies, and noticed I am not able to on some tables, while others I can.

For example

For this table when I right click I have the option to create a hierarchy

Whereas when I click on another table I dont have the option

Just curious what could be causing this?

I have a feeling something was not set up right and want to fix this

Argh I think I figured it out

This RPD is quite a mess

It looks like the tables where I am not able to create a logical hierarchy is because they actually ALREADY have a hierarchy....

It looks like the genius that was working on this renamed the tables and hierarchies. Was pretty messy but I was able to track down the table and its corresponding hierarchy.

Some tables had a hierarchy already with a different name, and some other tables had no hierarchy. Which led to me "sometimes" being able to create a logical hierarchy automatically and other times not.

Is the logical table where you can't create an hierarchy an actual dimension?

Is it linked to a fact table?
