RESUME SCHEDULED JOB SHOULD NOT RUN THE MISSED SCHEDULE
Organization Name
Pension Insurance Corporation
Description
Our Product Management team has confirmed that this is expected behavior and the job will make up for the schedules that it missed and complete the previous runs.
I have logged the below Enhancement Request to get this feature in future releases, that can help the customers choose between the run/ no run option:
Bug 20193961 [https://bug.oraclecorp.com/pls/bug/webbug_edit.edit_info_top?rptno=20193961] - RESUME SCHEDULED JOB SHOULD NOT RUN THE MISSED SCHEDULE
Please try one of the following options:
1. You can delete the Job and create a new job. So in this case the new job will start from the date of the resume.
2. If we know in advance that few cycles are to be suspended for any specific reason, then we can use the frequency - Specific Dates. You can pick the dates that you know in advance when the job will run. So in this case you do not have to delete the job/create a new one. Just that here the date and time of run has to be selected manually for each run.
The Expected Time of Fix of Enhancement Requests is difficult to tell on date as it depends on it’s priority which is decided by our product management team which is again decided by the business need. Enhancement Requests are prioritized and fixed in future releases.
Use Case and Business Need
Maintaining Schedules should be like turn off and then switch it back on.
At the moment, when the schedules are resumed - they run each time for all the missed days and send multiple emails.

Good idea.

This would have been helpful this year. One of my customers has a 401K scheduled job and when we removed the pause, the file sent in error.

This is a good idea for an enhancement. Just experienced this in production where we resumed the job and multiple days of files were sent to a distribution list; causes end user confusion.
