How to apply ordering in custom dimension

Description (Required):
I created a report in DV, In custom dimension there is a column of "Report ordering" which shows the particulars in the report as per the order requested by business users.
If I remove the "Report ordering" column from the report, the order of the particulars is disturbed.
Like in Time Dimension Fiscal period are displayed in ascending order and in the back end it uses the Fiscal_Period_Sort_key column to order the fiscal period.
How can it be achieved in the custom dimension?
