In FAW being able to export Table visual to Excel format (.xlsx)

Description (Required):

At the moment there is only PDF and CSV export possibility in FAW. We want additional option: export to Excel.

Use Case and Business Need (Required):

Excel is used by almost all users and therefore the desired file format for data export.

CSV can be used, but this will require some additional steps in Excel for the file to become useful in Excel. (data to columns steps)

Those additional steps will be for the less experienced Excel users already be too complex.

Besides this, if in the export columns content are comma's then this give troubles, splitting columns based on the content of a columns making Excel sheet unusable.

Enhancement Request / Service Request:

Please create Excel export functionality, just as in PowerBI or OTBI.

Oracle Analytics Wizard-Oracle

There is an option in System Settings of FAW's console to enable excel export for a table or pivot table. By default it's disabled but can be enabled by a FAW administrator.
